“BS” is a funny short for this place, but how appropriate. While there are many advantages living in small cities, but anonymity and police force are not some of those. In most (large) cities police typically has better things to do then speculate whether or not an individual is under influence and/or whether or not the fact that one may be speeding be any indication of the aforementioned influence.
Once again I’ve been continuing my monetary contributions to city of Berrien Springs, as I was pulled over for allegedly neglecting the speed limits.
While I am not denying anything, nor do I mind getting the citations when deserved, as I believe that law only works when applied consistently even if it is to me. I do take offense when an officer leverages the fact that he/she is a policeman and attempts to use what I call verbal trickery to create an offense when there is none. Often times when I’m in contact with the Berrien Springs law enforcement (mainly due to traffic infractions) I have to work hard in keeping my words under control as thus far each one of instances have led me to expand my “French” vocabulary.
It seems as though over the past 6 years with all the fines that I’ve paid into the court system they should be able to hire a some sort of a communications teacher.
Moving on to more positive aspects of BS. One thing that makes it bearable is, of course, a friend. Speaking of which, I wish happy travels to Vaughan and Nadine as they begin what according to some is one of the longest flights in the world.
In fact if they were to end up on a Atlanta – Johannesburg flight, that BOEING 747-400 will fly nonstop 8,439 miles that’s a heck of a long flight to be stuck on (without INTERNET!!!)
On that note, I’m afraid it’s time to start the day, in other words time to break out pot of coffee and get to work.
