This is obviously more exciting for me than it would be for anyone else, but i got a new phone.
My long-lasting partnership with the trusty Palm Treo had to come to an end. Although Treo 650 was a great product there were/are many aspects that the U.S. wireless market is falling behind.
Although the U.S. has been know as the “leader” in technology and innovation, in the cellphone market that does not seem to be the case. As an example we can take a look at verizon wireless and their locked and crippled phones. In Europe a company that cripples phones and technology to the same degree verizon does would be criminally prosecuted, but here in the U.S. verizon seems to be doing just fine. So to make the long story short, I decided to branch out and get a Nokia phone. Since i like my PDA functionalities and the full keyboard i decided on a Nokia E61i.

Nokia E61i

So, here it is. My post for today…

  1. Cool, I also have an E61i. I left the world of Treos after being a Treo user since the Treo 180 for the Nokia E61 and then upgraded to the E61i.

i love your phone!:) i’m gonna get a new one too now! trip to devon street huh?

  4. Ed: I’ve only been a user of Treo since 650 and it was good, but Yes, SymbianOS seems to be much more robust and less buggy then Palm.

Kendra: for $350 you’ll be better off using your chocolate, try double that for a good Nokia
