well i’m back from the land of no internet… this weekend i got to spend some time in Wisconsin in the woods… it was good time but it’s nice to be back to high speed and good cell service.
as i was catching up on my news reading and other internet-powered activities i was amazed by WSJ article that described Moscow, Russia as most expensive city to live in for second straight year.
It’s always amazing to me how countries with highest poverty levels end up on these kind of lists. Moscow, St Petersburg and Kiev are no exception. With two-bedroom apartments in the city costing upwards of $4000 a month and most of country making less than $100 a month it only seems logical for president Putin to be worried about things like USA deploying anti-missile defense systems in Europe and nonsense like that…
